Are you ready for some tablets? A new $400 million partnership between the National Football League and Microsoft is giving heavily modified versions of Microsoft's Surface Pro 2 tablets sideline access to this year's games. Coaches and players will be able to use the tablets to transcend the print photographs of yesteryear and receive images about a team's formations for review on the sidelines.
Once you hear about how the old system worked, you might wonder why it's taken the NFL so long to embrace modern technology for convenience's sake, if nothing else.
