The once-controversial Carrier iQ phone support software has been acquired by AT&T.
The phone giant said it had agreed to purchase the software assets of Carrier iQ as well as a handful of its employees. Carrier iQ, meanwhile, appears to have closed up shop, with its site now offline.[...]

The original HTC One was one of my favorite smartphones from 2013, but it was easy to see why you'd pass it up in favor of an archrival like Samsung's Galaxy S4 -- it just didn't have the battery life, camera quality or expansion to keep up. Fast-forward to 2014 and it's a different story. Most of those headache-inducing flaws have been fixed in the new One; indeed, my colleague Brad Molen suggested it was an all-around better device. But is that enough to avoid a twinge of buyer's remorse,...

 New 'Homer' App Lets You Peek at Others' Home Screens for Apps to Grab  

We're big fans of finding the latest and greatest apps to use on our various mobile devices, but it can be a bit like searching for that metaphorical needle in a haystack.
Sure, you can scan through all of the online reviews for new things to download, or attempt to navigate through the iOS and Android app stores to uncover diamonds in the rough. You can even read over various tech enthusiasts' blogs or writings to get a sense of what they use (or have found), and just copy what they've downloaded.
You could also take a page from Max Levchin, whose new app — cleverly titled "Homer" — gives you a look at what's on your friends' iOS home screens whenever they capture a screenshot of them.
"If you're a sports fanatic, why shouldn't you be able to check out Nate's "Sport Stats" app folder and the apps of other fellow...
