Samsung Teases 2 New Phones Amidst Earnings Stumble
Samsung was among the tech giants who reported quarterly earnings this week, and while these reports are usually reserved for analysts and Wall Street types, there were a few morsels for consumers, too.
Samsung executives teased two new devices that will be making their way to the company's mobile portfolio over the next six months.
First up, the company will release a large-screened smartphone that most predict will be a follow-up to Samsung's 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3. It's expected that Samsung will officially announce the device in early September, likely at the IFA trade show in Berlin, where it unveiled the Note 3 and Note II.
There's not a lot of speculation about Samsung's second high-end smartphone. Samsung said only that it will be "a very attractive new model that uses new materials and new displays...
